10. Deploy Anywhere
You can host Sugar on site or in the cloud, same price
9. Customizations and Integrations
SFDC is written in a proprietary language, Sugar is PHP
8. OPEN
SFDC is a closed environment. Sugar gives you code-level access, audit capabilities and CE, a Free version.
7. More Value
SFDC makes you upgrade through 5 editions for more features, Sugar comes ready with more functionality and fewer price levels.
6. An open source community
SFDC has far fewer apps than Sugar. Since Sugar is open source, developers are creating apps to make Sugar even sweeter.
5. Flexible
SFDC integrations are controlled through AppExchange, much more difficult than Sugar’s API
4. Your Data is Yours
SFDC will give you a .csv backup, not a relational database like Sugar. And weekly backups are free with Sugar, SFDC charges.
3. Configurations
SFDC can only be configured by admins, and there are configuration limits. Not so with Sugar.
2. Intuitive
SFDC tends to be complex in its UI, programming and pricing. Sugar has a common web 2.0 interface and simple pricing.
1. Affordable
SugarCRM Pro ($30/u/m) = SFDC Enterprice ($125/u/m). That makes SFDC 4X more expensive!!!

Lies…this is a really basic and not TRUE Post….I have worked with and for salesforce and can assure you that with the exception of the price the rest is a big lie…..salesforce is still much better than Sugar

Hi Oscar, thanks for your feedback. What is incorrect about this post? How does SFDC surpass Sugar?
